There is a company match-up of the donations made by the employees for up to $250 every year. Paid 12-hour leaves are also granted to workers who do volunteer work at a qualified charity. The company was able to give an estimated $210,000 for the year 2008 and is aiming to further increase donations for this year. The charities favored by Intelius are those that deal with youth, education, healthcare and family issues.
Last year they were able to support Overlake Service League, Hopelink, Children’s Hospital, Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, Bellevue School Foundation, Eastside Domestic Violence Program, and Treehouse. They also aid promising undergraduate students studying at the University of Washington with degrees in Business and Computer Science & Engineering.
