For Extensive Touring in Australia Find an Airport Car Hire

by @ 9:30 am. Filed under Adventure Stuff, Cars Vintage + New, Travel Stuff

To save on transport expenses down under, getting your airport car hire in Australia using the internet is certainly worth it. Not only will you cut back on time and energy trying to call around to fifty distinct businesses, there are many internet sites, such as Expedia, Kayak, Priceline, etc. which are designed to offer low cost travel and transportation services, suited to the discerning tourist on a budget. For those seeking to do an extended visit, or for business people, an airport car rental company sure beats hanging around waiting for a bus or train.

For towns where there is no nonstop train service from the airport into town, such as Melbourne, it’s especially advantageous. Nevertheless, even in Sydney, with its fast airport train service, if you plan on doing a lot of traveling in and out of the city, and need to stay on time, and want the control options a car hire service can offer, then renting a car at the airport is your best option.

A Melbourne airport car hire will enable you to stick to your own touring timetable close by greater Melbourne and Victoria. There is another great factor for having an airport car rental in Australia. It makes the extra price of renting a tour coach not required, if you know where you’re heading and, being such a big and wide open country, it makes trips to the outback and countryside “all inclusive”. You can grab very affordable airport car hire deals through companies like Hertz, Avis, Budget, EuropCar, Redspot, and Thrifty, among others. It’s feasible to rent a Toyota Corolla compact for $316 a week on Drive Now, however a better offer than that could probably be discovered on Economy class car rentals by looking online.

A car rental situation is optimum for moving around if you plan on touring Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or any other Australian cities, and in particular if you want to visit multiple cities down under. Whether you’re visiting for pleasure, business or both, a car hire Melbourne Airport style will give you the perfect transportation scenario. Check out Melbourne, when it comes to all round quality of living, among the world’s top rated cities. Eliminate the long waits for trains and buses, and put yourself driving a cheap yet dependable car rental service when visiting Australia.

My Story: Australian Adventure

by @ 5:32 am. Filed under Adventure Stuff, Travel Stuff

Touring Australia, travelling from Sydney to Melbourne via the coast line was one the nicest experiences I have gone through. The scenery was beautiful, the locals were friendly and there were a wealth of things to do.

With many car rental sydney and car rental Melbourne alternatives along the coast, hiring a car is the easiest way to make your way around. Car rental agencies are eager to help you arrange the tour of your dreams. Car agencies are perpetually extending promotions and deals. I managed to secure a fantastic one way special to Melbourne at a car rental in Sydney.

I headed south from Sydney through Royal National Park. The Grand Pacific Drive is glamorous. I spent a few hours in Wollongong and thoroughly loved exploring the many coastal villages along the way before spending the night at Jervis Bay.

I took a cruise the next day to see the dolphins that Jervis Bay is best-known for. The immaculate white sand beaches made it extremely difficult to leave given that I am visiting from England. Continuing my journey further south, I was able to pick up some high quality craft items in Tilba Tilba.

Mimosa Rocks National Park was lovely, I even got a chance to swim in the lagoon. I drove a little further to watch surfers at Tathra Beach. That evening I stayed in the trendy village of Metung and had a wonderful seafood platter in one of the lakeside eateries.

Wilsons Promontory National Park is home to amazing scenery and an abundance of wildlife such as kangaroos, koalas and wombats. I spent an entire day hiking through eucalypt forests, exploring beaches and coves and climbing on granite mountains.

Next stop was Fish Creek, a tiny, quirky and thriving township with arts and crafts, books and cafes. I drove across the bridge over to Phillip Island, a popular family stop. At Nobbies Centre you can watch the penquins strutting up and down the beach and see one of Australia’s biggest fur seal settlements.

As initially planned, I ended my trip in Melbourne making my last stop at the heritage farm on Churchill Island. Renting a car gave me the flexibility and convenience during my trip from Sydney to Melbourne. Next time I may get a car rental in Melbourne and do this trip the other direction!

Mtn Bike Riding Trip

by @ 11:20 am. Filed under Adventure Stuff, Bikes + Stuff, Travel Stuff

It?s been an amazing summertime thus far. The other day we went on a bike ride through the Sequoia National Park. It was an grand trip, but began with the strenuous drive. My gear was packed with my bike ready the night before. I started the bike ride up alone as I left early from the office. I was on a race against time as I was supposed to meet my buddies at the top of the mountain road, marked by a picnic table, at 8pm. I had to make the timing just right otherwise I would not meet them. If I didnt make it in time, they would come back the next day to find me. This means if I was too late, I would end up sleeping in my car alone that night.

Turns out I made it through traffic and up the hill in time to unhook my bike, crack open a beer and bike ride up and down a couple of little hills before dark and before my buddies would arrive. The air was crisp and I was excited to be away from the city. The bike was in perfect shape and ready to hit some trails.

Our mtn bike ride started early and we were ready with big packs stuffed with plenty of food and water. The first hill was killer and was a rude awakening to a very long mtn bike ride. We pedaled over 10 miles uphill, that took over 2hrs. Making it to the summit was magnificent. We took a break and sipped some water from our stainless steel water bottles.

The next 8hrs was spent jamming up and down hills, over fallen logs, off huge hits and hucking over big rocks. A couple of breaks were in order throughout the day where we drank a bit of booze and shared treats we had packed away. The terrain was spectacular and just right for some summertime riding. There was a bit of ice still left on the ground from the spring melt. The temperature was perfect, not too hot, not too cold.
